MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641115361 A) filed by Sri Eshwar College Of Engineering on September 24, 2026, for Forest Fire Detection And Prevention Using Ai-Enabled Camera Networks With Real-Time Web-Based Monitoring.

Inventors include Dr. P. Anbarasu; Kishore D G; Kaviya C M; and Mohan A.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The proposed low-cost and scalable intelligent forest fire detection, and prevention system based on a blend of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things sensor networks is proposed and presented in this paper. Fire is detected visually with a trained machine learning model, and the ESP32-CAM and a set of environmental sensors (DHT11, MQ135 and MQ-7) are incorporated to measure temperature and humidity, as well as the gas concentrations in real-time. There is a microcontroller NodeMCU ESP8266 that collects sensor data and notifies a cloud dashboard via Wi-Fi. The combined solution ensures faster response rates, more accuracy, as well as better monitoring possibilities in the area likely to be subjected to the wildfire. The system met the challenge of disaster prevention and forest safety as it could respond in less than 5 seconds with a large detection accuracy of more than 92% based on the simulations of fire in disaster situation areas. Keywords— Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Forest Fire Detection, ESP32-CAM, Environmental Sensors, Machine Learning, NodeMCU ESP8266, Real-time Monitoring, Disaster Prevention, Sustainable Technology.
