Abstract: A forensic skid analysis system for estimating vehicle speed from skid mark evidence, comprising a data input module 101 for receiving skid mark length measurements, a case information module 102 for recording case identification, investigator data, timestamp and geolocation, a distance normalization engine 103 for determining an average skid distance based on total skid length and visible skid marks, an environmental selection module 104 for selecting road type and surface condition from a predefined digital database, a drag factor determination engine 105 for computing a refined drag factor based on road type, surface condition and tire information, a calculation engine 106 for estimating vehicle speed using skid distance, drag factor and braking efficiency, a unit conversion module 107 for reporting speed in different units, a reporting module 108 for generating structured forensic reports, and a storage module 109 for storing case records and reports in standardized digital format.
