Abstract: A forensic investigation and evidence-handling system, comprising a rectangular platform 101, a motorized omnidirectional wheels 102 to enable lateral, diagonal, rotational, and linear movement without reorientation of the platform 101, a barrier 103 and perimeter-containment arrangement to enable crime scene isolation, a segmented barrier 103 wound with micro-suction cups 106 to grip the surface upon deployment, a multi-spectral environmental scanning arrangement for non-contact identification of latent and visible forensic traces, a fingerprint acquisition arrangement for recovery of latent ridge patterns from diverse surfaces, a hair and fiber trace collection arrangement for lifting of discrete particulate evidence, a blood sample acquisition and sealed capture arrangement to enable controlled recovery of liquid or semi-dried biological evidence, a footprint recovery and surface-imprint acquisition arrangement to enable documentation and preservation of floor-based evidence, and a printer 125 for evidence documentation, labeling, and chain-of-custody preservation to enable traceability of all collected samples.
