The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a footstep-actuated rack-and-pinion energy-harvesting floor tile with geared electromagnetic generation and electrical energy storage. The tile converts mechanical energy applied by pedestrian footsteps into electrical energy and comprises a base, a load-bearing upper plate guided for controlled vertical displacement relative to the base, and at least one restoring member supporting the upper plate. A rack coupled to the upper plate meshes with a pinion to convert downward displacement of the upper plate into rotational movement. A rotational transmission comprising a geared arrangement couples the pinion to one or more electromagnetic generators. Electrical output produced by the generators is directed through a power-conditioning circuit to an electrical energy-storage device and/or an electrical load. Upon removal of the footstep load, the restoring member returns the upper plate toward its initial position for a subsequent operating cycle. Multiple generators may be electrically interconnected, and a plurality of tiles may be coupled to a common storage or distribution system.
