Abstract: The invention provides a footrest mounting member (400) of a footrest system (200) for removably attaching the footrest system(200) to a body frame (102) of a vehicle (100), said footrest mounting member (400) comprising:a plate member (402) having a thickness (L1), the plate member comprising a top surface (404) and a bottom surface (406) and at least a first aperture (408);a first collar (412) located in the first aperture (408) of the plate member (402), the first collar (412) having a length (L2) greater than the thickness (L1) of the plate member (402), the first collar (412) comprising a second aperture (414) and a first internal threaded portion (416) in the second aperture (414); and a first bolt (424) adapted to engage with the first internal threaded portion (416) of the first collar (412) for removably attaching the footrest system (200) to the body frame (102).
