Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a foot-support assembly (100) comprises a stocking body (102) configured to be worn by a user, and a heel pad (104) integrally attached to an inner surface of the stocking body (102) at heel region. The heel pad (104) comprises a multi-layer structure includes a cushioning layer (106) formed of a relatively soft material and configured to contact a plantar surface of foot to absorb impact and provide comfort, a support layer (108) disposed beneath the cushioning layer (106) and formed of a relatively firm material configured to provide structural stability and resist compression, and at least one functional layer (110) configured to impart one or more properties selected from enhanced shock absorption, ventilation, antimicrobial activity, or positional stability. The heel pad (104) is formed of moulded rubber foam and is configured to provide cushioning and support to a plantar aspect of the heel during use.
