Abstract: The present invention relates to a food-grade organic hair removal wax composition prepared from natural, edible ingredients including powdered sugar (sucrose), sodium chloride, water and lime juice, and optionally vinegar. The composition is a semi-solid, self-supporting mass having a melting point of 56°C to 60°C, a viscosity of 30,000 cPas to 70,000 cPas, a pH of 5.0 to 6.0, a water activity below 0.60 and a solidification time of 8 to 10 minutes, and provides a safe, non-toxic alternative to conventional chemical-based waxes that eliminates the need for pre-heating before application. The composition is microbially stable and effectively preserved by a food-grade preservative system, is substantially free of heavy metals beyond safe limits, and is free of 1,4-dioxane and nitrosamines. A method of preparing the composition, comprising forming a slurry of the ingredients and heating it for a controlled period, is also disclosed.
