MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611096068 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 08, 2026, for Foldable Solar Drying Device For Dishes With Integrated Dust-Proof Protection.
Inventor includes Ashita Chowdhary.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a foldable solar drying device for dishes with integrated dust-proof protection, onfigured to provide rapid, hygienic, and energy-efficient drying of washed dishes and kitchen utensils. The device comprises a transparent dome cover, a solar panel, a mini fan, a USB power interface, filtered air vents, snap- lock corners, and a multifunctional base tray. The solar panel converts sunlight into electrical energy to operate the mini fan, which circulates air within the enclosed drying chamber to accelerate moisture evaporation. The USB power interface provides an alternative power source when sufficient sunlight is unavailable, thereby ensuring uninterrupted operation. The filtered air vents facilitate continuous airflow while preventing the entry of dust, insects, and airborne contaminants, thereby maintaining a hygienic drying environment. The snap-lock corners securely retain the dome cover on the base tray to form a stable enclosed chamber during operation. The foldable and portable construction enables compact storage and convenient transportation, while the multifunctional base tray additionally serves as a cutting board or serving tray.
