Abstract: The current invention is a foldable, portable hybrid renewable energy producing system that may be installed on the roof of cars and other stationary or mobile platforms. An array of thermoelectric generator (TEG) modules, an aluminium heat-spreading plate, a heat dissipation unit, a thermal interface material (TIM) layer, a phase change material (PCM) thermal storage layer, and a photovoltaic (PV) panel layer are all part of the system. When solar radiation strikes a photovoltaic panel, it simultaneously produces heat and electrical energy. By absorbing and storing extra thermal energy, the PCM layer lowers PV operating temperatures and increases photovoltaic conversion efficiency. Through the Seebeck effect, the stored thermal energy generates a temperature differential between the TEG modules, allowing for the production of extra electrical power. With modular mounting arrangements, the folding mat structure makes it easy to travel, deploy, and install on car roofs. For the purpose of charging batteries, electric cars, or auxiliary loads, the power outputs from the PV and TEG subsystems are mixed using a power management unit after being controlled by specialised power conditioning circuits. For electric car charging, camping, emergency backup, and remote-area applications, the invention offers improved energy harvesting efficiency, temperature regulation, portable deployment, decreased reliance on traditional charging infrastructure, and dependable power generation. While retaining a small, light, and weather-resistant architecture, the hybrid combination of PV, PCM, and TEG technologies allows for continuous and enhanced power generation under a variety of environmental circumstances.
