MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641083260 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Saveetha, chennai. on July 07, 2026, for Flowchart Ai powered Conversational System For Ocean Data Discovery And Visulization.

Inventor includes Dr Ramya Mohan.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an Al-powered conversational system for oceanographic data discovery and visualization, herein referred to as FloatChat, designed to simplify access to complex ARGO ocean datasets for students, researchers, and policy analysts. The system enables users to interact with large-scale ocean data using natural language queries and provides instant visual insights in the form of maps, graphs, and analytical summaries. FloatChat ingests ARGO float data available in NetCDF format and converts it into structured and searchable data representations. An intelligent conversational engine interprets user queries related to ocean temperature, salinity, depth, oxygen levels, and long-term climate trends. The system generates contextual responses supported by visual dashboards such as depth profiles, geospatial maps, and comparative graphs. The invention eliminates the need for domain expertise in ocean data formats and analytical tools by offering an intuitive, chat-based interface. FloatChat democratizes access to ocean and climate data by transforming raw scientific datasets into understandable insights through artificial intelligence.
