Abstract: A flooded-road hazard detection system is disclosed for identifying submerged roadway depressions and electrical leakage conditions present in floodwater. The system comprises a floodwater depth sensing module (102), an electrical leakage detection module (104), a control and hazard evaluation module (106), a hazard threshold determination module (108), a pothole detection module (110), an electrical hazard identification module (112), a visual warning display module (114), an audible alert generation module (116), a power management module (118), and a communication expansion interface module (120). The floodwater depth sensing module (102) acquires depth measurements from a flooded roadway region, while the electrical leakage detection module (104) monitors electrical current within floodwater. The control and hazard evaluation module (106) processes the acquired information to identify submerged pothole hazards and electrical leakage hazards. Upon detection of a hazardous condition, the visual warning display module (114) and the audible alert generation module (116) generate warning indications for nearby users. The system enables autonomous monitoring of flood-prone roadways and enhances public safety through real-time hazard detection and warning generation.
