Abstract: Disclosed is a floating-type nuclear power generation system capable of advantageously countering core meltdown. The present disclosure is a floating-type nuclear power generation system comprising: a nuclear reactor; a turbine generator that is driven by steam generated by the heat of the nuclear reactor; and a floating body in which the nuclear reactor and the turbine generator are disposed and which is moored on the sea. The floating body has, on the lower side of the nuclear reactor, a core catcher, the lower side of which is filled with ballast water in a ship-bottom ballast tank formed, in a double hull structure, at the bottom portion of the floating body.
