MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621090510 A) filed by Marwadi University; and Saint Francis School on July 24, 2026, for Floating Buoy With Renewable Energy Harvesting.
Inventors include Kapadiya Om; Vaghasiya Haard; Khemchandani Navin; B. Vinitha Reddy; and Patel Rajendra Kumar Dayalal.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: A floating buoy with renewable energy harvesting is provided, a buoyant body 101 is adapted to be placed over a water body 101, a plurality of inflatable members 102 arranged underneath the body 101 maintain flotation and stabilize the body 101 against wave action, a pair of articulated bars 103 with flaps 104 at distal ends convert mechanical vibrations from water waves into electrical energy, a plurality of solar panels 105 mounted via articulated linkages 106 adjust angles to maximize solar exposure, a sun detector directs the linkages 106 to orient the panels 105 toward sunlight, a wind turbine 107 on an articulated pole 108 generates electricity from ambient wind, an anemometer 109 adjusts the turbine 107 orientation to optimize energy generation, and a battery unit within the body 101 stores the harvested energy.
