Abstract: ABSTRACT FLEXORS AND EXTENSOR KNEE BRACE A flexor and extensor knee brace comprises an upper part (906, 1005) secured to the thigh and a lower part (912, 1010) secured to the leg, connected by a hinge axis (913) at the knee joint. A compression spring (904, 1001) housed in a spring housing slot (905, 1002) is linked via a string (1004) to a circular disc (911, 1009), such that knee flexion or extension tensions the string (1004) to compress the spring (904, 1001) and generate a resisting torque. A slider block (908, 1008), actuated by a knob (901, 1006) and circular wedge (902, 703), selectively presses the circular disc (911, 1009) against the lower part (912, 1010) to create a friction lock. A range of motion limiter restricts movement within a predetermined range. A counter mechanism tracks flexion and extension cycles. The brace is switchable between engaged condition providing resistance and disengaged condition permitting free movement. [[FIGURE 1]]
