This invention eliminates the fundamental mechanical failure mode of traditional desk lamps friction-based hinges by using the inherent shape-memory and superelastic properties of Nitinol to maintain any desired arch position without joints or pivot mechanisms. A counter-weighted die-cast Zinc base ensures centre-of-gravity stability regardless of the arch's extension angle, while an over molded medical-grade TPU shell integrates the structural, optical, and electrical elements into a single seamless body. The lamp is targeted at working professionals and students who require reliable, adjustable task lighting and whose repeated handling of conventional lamps leads to accelerated hinge wear and positional drift.
