Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to fleet coordination and adaptive route management of delivery vehicles. The fleet coordination apparatus (100) includes a plurality of vehicle-mounted apparatus (110), each having a position verification circuit (120) and a microcontroller (112). The position verification circuit (120) determines a position confidence score by cross-referencing a first position coordinate with a cellular radio signal strength value and a short-range radio signal strength value from another vehicle-mounted apparatus (110). When cellular signal strength falls below a predefined threshold, the microcontroller (112) transmits a route status packet (208) to a neighbouring vehicle-mounted apparatus (110) via a vehicle short-range radio transceiver (116). When the position confidence score falls below a stored confidence threshold, the microcontroller (112) writes an immutable delivery verification record to a write-once memory (124), preventing subsequent alteration of the associated delivery completion status.
