MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541022557 A) filed by Godwin Joseph on March 12, 2025, for Flash Analog -To - Digital Converter With Voltage Estimator.

Inventor includes Godwin Joseph.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a flash analog-to-digital converter comprising an input terminal for receiving an analog input signal, a voltage estimator coupled to the input terminal and configured to generate a coarse digital estimate of the analog input signal, a flash converter stage coupled to the input terminal and configured to perform a first conversion of the analog input signal based on the coarse digital estimate, and a residue generator coupled to the flash converter stage and configured to generate a residue signal for a second conversion by the flash converter stage. The voltage estimator may include a resistive ladder network with taps for generating reference voltages. The flash converter stage may include comparators, a resistive reference ladder, and a multiplexer for selecting reference voltages based on the coarse digital estimate. A digital correction circuit may correct errors in the coarse digital estimate and combine results from the first and second conversions to generate a final digital output.
