Abstract: A drug delivery device comprising a spring-driven drive member adapted to rotate piston rod to expel a dose from a cartridge. A controller is axially splined to the drive member and held against a housing stop surface. An actuator member is adapted to move the controller axially out of engagement with the stop, this allowing the drive member to be rotated by the drive spring. The controller in splined engagement with the drive member is rotated helically back to the start position and reengages the stop to thereby halt the drive member.
