Inventors include Dr. Sudesh Kumar Sharma; and Dr. Anil Kumar Singh.

Abstract: A fire escape assistive device for emergency evacuations from high-rise buildings device, comprising an inverted U-shaped body 101 positioned on coping of a balcony/window of a rood, a microphone 102 for enabling a user to provide input voice commands regarding requirement of assistance in evacuating room, an imaging unit 103 to determine dimensions of user, a pair of extendable bars 104 with plurality of plates 105, to extend/retract for deploying plates 105, a speaker to produce audio signals for producing audio signals to guide user to ascend from first portion, a harness 106 attached with a rope 107 to be worn on user’s body 101, in case of detected fire or smoke, a sensor embedded on body 101 for determining distance of a ground surface from body 101 and a motorized roller 108 coiled with rope 107 arranged on body 101, to rotate for unwrapping/wrapping rope 107.
