MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617099149 A) filed by Hero Scientific Ltd. on August 17, 2026, for Filtration Sampling Devices.
Inventors include Levitz, Robert Eric; and Feldman, Zvi.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: A filter support (2662) of a filtration assembly (2524) includes a rigid solid base (2664), which includes a first portion (2666), which defines filtrate -passage openings (1668) through the rigid solid base (2664) into a waste liquid receptacle (1656); and a second portion (2668), which defines a pres sure -release opening (2602) through the rigid solid base (2664) into the waste liquid receptacle (1656). A fluid-permeable layer (2604) is fixed to the rigid solid base (2664) covering the first portion (2666) without covering the second portion (2668). The fluid-permeable layer (2604) and the second portion (2668) of the rigid solid base (2664) together define a support surface (2659), on which a filter (60) is removably disposed. Pressurizing a liquid specimen sample in a tubular container (2030) at a pressure greater than a threshold pressure perforates a portion (2606) of the filter (60) covering the pressure-release opening (2602), and pushes a portion of the liquid specimen sample through the perforated portion (2606) and the pressure-release opening (2602), and into the waste liquid receptacle (1656). Other embodiments are also described.
