Abstract: The present invention relates to the composition and method for fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction catalyst, wherein the NOx reduction catalysts typically contain a combination of active components and support materials optimized for NOx reduction. The invention disclosed here involves utilizing FCC spent catalyst, a waste material from refineries, as a support to develop NOx reduction catalysts. By repurposing this waste material, the process becomes more sustainable and cost-effective.
