Abstract: ABSTRACT FASTENER A fastener and a fastener system including a first component and a second 5 component secured together through the fastener. The fastener includes a body portion having a plurality of ribs arranged to form a bend section, and a bridge connecting the ribs to one another at the bend section. A shank portion extends from the body portion and includes a plurality of arms. Each arm is connected to a respective rib at a point of connection located at a 10 free end of the rib. The arms are cantilevered at the point of connection and extending away from the body portion. Each arm being hingeable about the point of connection with the rib. The ribs include a recessed portion formed along at least a portion of the rib between the point of connection and the bend section. The recessed portion being configured to regulate at least an 15 insertion force of the fastener.
