MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621096415 A) filed by Kpi Green Hydrogen And Ammonia Private Limited on August 10, 2026, for Fast-Response Transient Stabilization System And Method For An Industrial Electrolyzer In A Renewable Energy Power System.

Inventors include Komal Rajendra Jarhad; and Sathyajit Shaji.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a fast-response transient stabilization system (100) and method for maintaining electrical stability of an industrial electrolyzer (20) in a renewable power system. The system comprises a renewable power source (10) including a solar photovoltaic plant (12), an electrical distribution network (14), a utility grid (16), a battery energy storage system (18) having a battery container (18a), a power conversion system (18b), a control cabinet (18c), and a transformer and high- voltage panel (18d), and an energy management system (22) communicatively coupled thereto. The energy management system monitors electrical operating parameters, detects and assesses a transient disturbance, calculates compensating power according to renewable generation, electrolyzer demand, battery capability, and grid availability, selects a source priority, and dispatches a charging or discharging command through the power conversion system. Hysteresis and a stabilization holding period prevent repeated mode switching, and controlled recovery returns the system to normal operation. The battery energy storage system supplies or absorbs electrical power within a response window ranging from milliseconds to a few seconds to stabilize voltage, current, or power supplied to the industrial electrolyzer and reduce stack trips during renewable-power fluctuations, grid disturbances, and load variations.
