Abstract: This invention deals with an artificial intelligence-based fashion recommender system which makes use of computer vision, image processing and machine learning techniques integrated with cloud computing to provide highly personalized clothes recommendations to individual users. Images of individual users are captured using a mobile or web-based application and processed to identify essential physical characteristics of the user including body shape, size, posture and skin color, and then create a virtual avatar representing the actual physique of the individual user. Using this virtual avatar, various garments can be tested virtually to enable the individual to view the look of garments on his/her own body. Additionally, this invention is supported by cloud-based AI engine accessed through secure API integration which considers the processed features of each individual and available fashion datasets along with information regarding current fashion trends, preference of the user as well as occasion and seasonality to offer accurate garment suggestions to the users. The system uses data processing and scoring techniques to score and rank recommended outfits in terms of suitability, aesthetic value and likely degree of satisfaction among others before offering recommendations to the individual users through intuitive UI design.
