Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION; Large bone defects present a significant clinical challenge, often requiring external intervention to stimulate effective .bone regeneration. One promising approach to address this issue is the use of mesoporous particles, which facilitate the growth of new bone tissue by enhancing cellular interactions and providing necessary nutrients. In this study, higli-calcium and silicate-rich wollastonite particles were synthesized from rice straw ash, a sustainable and abundant source of silica. The wollastonite particles were produced through a controlled calcination and chemical treatment process, resulting in bioactive particles with a porous architecture that is ideal for bone tissue engineering. To assess the osteogenic potential of these particles, key assays such as RUNX-2 Factor, collagen type I (COL-I), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) production were performed. These assays revealed significant upregulation, indicating that the synthesized wollastonite particles effectivdy promote osteoblast differentiation and bone formation. Furthermore, the particles are expected io activate critical bone regeneration pathways, including the Wnt signalling and NF-KB pathways, which are essential for initiating and sustaining the osteogenic process. By harnessing these pathways, the bioactive wollastonite particles have the potential to enhance bone regeneration in cases of large defects, offering a promising solution for advanced bone tissue engineering applications
