Abstract: An eye protection device for welding operations comprises a circular frame 1 with a C-shaped motorized expandable clamp 2 via an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 3 to be positioned in contact with edge of a workpiece, a user-interface within a computing unit to give input commands for securing the frame 1, a laser sensor for detecting dimensions of the edge, a drawer arrangement for securely gripping the edge, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for detecting distance of the user’s face from the frame 1, a polycarbonate lens 5 for comfortably perform the welding operation, multiple flaps 6 with multiple motorized hinges 7 for preventing any chances of facial injury due to the sparkles, a smoke detector detects presence of smoke in proximity to the frame 1 and an air blower 8 for blowing air to blow away from the smoke.
