Abstract: The present invention relates to an intelligent assistive system and method for enabling mobility-impaired individuals to operate electrical appliances hands-free using integrated eye-gaze, blink-recognition and voice-command technologies. The system comprises a vision-acquisition module configured to capture facial images of a user; an embedded processing unit configured to perform facial detection, facial-landmark extraction, eye-gaze estimation, blink recognition and voice recognition; and a command-interpretation engine configured to validate user intent and generate appliance-control commands. The commands are transmitted through an Internet of Things communication module to an IoT-enabled controller operatively connected to one or more relay-switching modules for controlling electrical appliances. A user- feedback module provides visual and/or audible confirmation of command execution. The integrated multimodal architecture enables accurate, reliable and real-time appliance selection and control while reducing unintended activation through command validation. The invention promotes independence, reduces caregiver dependence, and is applicable in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, assisted-living facilities and smart homes.
