MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621073106 A) filed by Meril Corporation I Private Limited on June 12, 2026, for Extrusion Machine With Synchronized Hydraulic Die Clamping Assembly.
Inventors include Kothwala, Deveshkumar Mahendralal; Mirza, Zahidbeg Anisbeg; and Chhaiya, Niravbhai Labhubhai.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: An extrusion machine (100) includes a hydraulic power unit (102), a directional control valve (104), and a synchronized hydraulic die clamping assembly (100A) comprising a gear-type flow divider (106), a plurality of hydraulic cylinders (108), and a plurality of clamps (110) arranged radially around a die holder assembly (112). A pressure reducing valve (114) limits hydraulic pressure during a first clamping stage. A solenoid-operated switching valve (116) bypasses the pressure reducing valve (114) to enable full system pressure during a second clamping stage. A control unit (118) actuates the solenoid-operated switching valve (116) upon confirmation from pressure sensors that pressure in each cylinder line has reached or exceeded a predefined contact pressure threshold, confirming concurrent radial contact of the plurality of clamps (110) with the die holder assembly (112) before full locking pressure is applied.
