Abstract: EXTERNAL FIXATORISPRINGER NATURE LINK DIGITAL INSPECTING 5 CHAMBER The titled invention discloses a device for high-precision inspection of a connecting rod used in an external bone fixator. The device comprises a closed inspection chamber (1) having a bed (13), a head stock (2) with rotary clamping jaws (4) driven by a drive cabin (6), and a tail stock (3) with rotary holding jaws (5) incorporating an 10 idler drive (7). A linear slider carriage (9) driven by a linear drive (11) moves a digital inspection camera (10) along the length of the connecting rod. The camera (10) has digital zoom up to 500x and includes laser-guided measurement capability. An LCD monitor (8) fixed to the head stock (2) displays a magnified view of the rod surface. In operation, the connecting rod is rotated at an adjustable RPM while the camera (10) 15 traverses its eptire length, enabling simultaneous inspection of diameter, overall length, surface roughness, surface finishing, mounting hole dimensions, center distance between holes, and detection of burrs or uneven surfaces. The device provides non-contact, high-accuracy measurement superior to conventional digital instruments, ensuring that the connecting rod meets medical-grade quality standards 20 for stable bone fragmentation and proper healing. A transparent door (12) provides operator safety during inspection.
