Abstract: ABSTRACT As a sustainable substitute for traditional steel reinforcement, this study investigates the mechanical and durability performance of concrete reinforced with fiberglass-reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebars. Recycled aggregates (RA) are incorporated into the concrete mixes with the goal of minimizing environmental impact and advancing circular economy building practices. Compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural behaviour, and corrosion resistance are all assessed using a variety of tests. The findings show that GFRP rebars can be used successfully in structural concrete M20 grade with RA, opening the door for corrosion- resistant and environmentally friendly building materials. The study looked at how well a new type of building material works, how long it lasts, and how good it is for the environment. It found that using special bars made of glass fiber inside the material made it really good at resisting damage from chemicals, very strong, and able to last a long time, compared to using traditional steel bars. Also, using old materials that would otherwise be thrown away to make the concrete reduced the need for new resources and was better for the environment. When they tested the material to see how it would perform under stress, they found that it behaved similarly to traditional materials in some ways, but it bent more and cracked in different patterns when weight was put on it. Overall, using these new materials in construction is a good way to make the industry more sustainable and create buildings that will last a long time.
