MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611109602 A) filed by Manav Rachna University on September 12, 2026, for Exhaust-Gas Waste Heat Recovery Unit.
Inventors include Dr. Bhim Singh; and Dr. Joginder Singh.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed is an exhaust-gas waste heat recovery unit comprising an exhaust-gas chamber defining a flow path between an inlet and an outlet. A heat-transfer tube carries a working fluid through the chamber. Multiple heat-transfer fin sections are carried by a fin support structure in thermal communication with the heat-transfer tube and are movable relative to the fin support structure while remaining within a heat-transfer path between exhaust gas and the working fluid. An actuation mechanism mechanically coupled to the fin support structure moves the fin sections during continuing exhaust-gas flow and working-fluid flow to break adhesion of deposits accumulated on the fin sections. A soot collection chamber communicates with the exhaust-gas flow path downstream of the fin sections and receives deposits released by the movement.
