Abstract: TITLE: EXCITATION WAVELENGTH DEPENDENT FLUORESCENCE TRIBENZO [a,c,i] PHENAZINE DERIVATIVES ABSTRACT The present invention discloses excitation wavelength dependent fluorescence tribenzo [a,c,i] phenazine derivatives of formula I and processes for their preparation. The invention provides substituted tribenzo [a, c, i] phenazine compounds obtained through a multi-step synthetic route involving iodination of phenanthraquinone, condensation with selected diamines, and subsequent metal-catalysed cross-coupling reactions. The invention further encompasses compositions comprising the disclosed tribenzo [a, c, i] phenazine derivatives along with suitable binders, thickeners, initiators, and solvents. The disclosed compounds and compositions are particularly useful in the development of advanced materials and useful in preparation of anticounterfeiting substrates requiring controlled photophysical characteristics. The invention falls within the domain of advanced chemical materials and security-related technologies, offering structurally robust and synthetically versatile tribenzophenazine derivatives.
