Abstract: ABSTRACT EVENT-DRIVEN COMPUTATIONAL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FEATURE TRANSFORMATION 5 10 15 The present disclosure provides an event-driven computational apparatus and method for feature transformation. The apparatus includes an input interface configured to receive one or more input signals and a non-linear processing circuitry comprising at least one non-linear dynamical element. The non-linear processing circuitry generates a non-linear response signal based on the input signals and an excitation signal. A threshold detection circuitry evaluates the non-linear response signal relative to one or more threshold criteria determined based on the input signals and generates an event indication when the threshold criteria are satisfied. An event control circuitry regulates operation of the non-linear processing circuitry based on the event indication. An output circuitry generates one or more transformed features based on at least one of the non linear response signal and the event indication. The apparatus enables event-driven transformation of input data while reducing unnecessary computational processing and providing efficient feature generation. Fig. 1
