Abstract: The present invention discloses a sprayable hydro-polymer formulation designated as C- PrimeDerm-Regen developed for diabetic foot ulcer treatment. The formulation comprises an aqueous leaf extract of Acalypha indicct incorporated into a chitosan—alginate polyelectrolyte hydro-polymer network along with pharmaceutically acceptable stabilizing and viscositymodifying agents. The ionic interaction between chitosan and alginate forms a hydrated polymer matrix capable of sustained and localized release of plant-derived bioactive constituents. The developed spray system demonstrates antioxidant activity, antimicrobial efficacy against wound-associated pathogens, and cytocompatibility with mammalian skin cell lines under in vitro conditions. The hydro-polymer spray ensures uniform wound coverage, supports moisture retention, and enhances cellular migration in vitro. The invention provides a stable and scalable therapeutic platform suitable for DFU management.
