MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641079710 A) filed by R. M. K. College Of Engineering And Technology on June 29, 2026, for Ev Battery Life Prediction For Swapping Station.

Inventors include Ms Kathija Nasreen A; R Greeshmanth; M Jayanth; and N Praveen Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a Machine Learning-Based Electric Vehicle Battery Remaining Useful Life Prediction and Dynamic Pricing System for Battery Swapping Stations. The system utilizes lithium-ion battery operational data including voltage, current, temperature, capacity, and charging cycles to estimate battery Remaining Useful Life (RUL) using Random Forest Regressor and XGBoost Regressor models. Ensemble learning techniques comprising Voting Regressor and Stacking Regressor improve prediction accuracy and robustness. Based on the predicted RUL and calculated Battery Health Index, the invention determines fair and transparent battery pricing for swapping operations. A Flask-based web application provides real-time visualization of battery health, degradation trends, predicted battery life, and recommended pricing through interactive dashboards. The proposed invention supports predictive maintenance, intelligent battery allocation, optimized battery utilization, reduced operational costs, improved customer confidence, and sustainable electric mobility. The modular architecture enables seamless integration with Battery Management Systems, battery swapping infrastructure, and cloud-based energy management platforms.
