Abstract: Epilepsy is a disease that affects the brain. It affects one to two percent of the worlds population. Epilepsy is like a storm in the brain. To figure out if someone is having a seizure we need to look at the brain signals. This is done with something called EEG.The problem is that looking at all these brain signals can be really hard. Sometimes the signals can be confusing because of things like eye blinking or background noise. That is why we need to find a way to look at these signals. We need to find a way that's fast and good at finding seizures. If we can predict when a seizure is going to happen that would be really great. We could help the person get ready and stay safe. The thing is, seizures do not just happen out of the blue. There are usually signs before they happen. If we can find these signs we can predict when a seizure is going to happen. We tested our idea. It worked. We were able to predict seizures thirty minutes before they happened. This is really news for people with epilepsy. They can use a device that can warn them when a seizure is coming.
