Abstract: TITLE: ENZYME-ENHANCED BIO-LEACHATE TREATMENT SYSTEM APPLICANT: MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH ABSTRACT The present invention discloses an enzyme enhanced bio leachate treatment system for treating leachate generated from landfill sites, municipal solid waste facilities, and industrial waste deposits. The system comprises a pre-treatment chamber configured to remove coarse solids, grit, and non- biodegradable matter from raw leachate. The partially clarified leachate is transferred to an enzyme activation tank containing immobilized enzymes selected from laccase, protease, cellulase, and peroxidase supported on bio-based materials for catalytic degradation of complex organic and inorganic pollutants into simpler intermediates. The treated leachate is then directed to a bio reactor chamber housing a microbial consortium operating under aerobic or facultative conditions for biological degradation and reduction of pollutant load. Thereafter, the effluent is passed through a bio adsorption and polishing unit comprising biochar and cow dung ash for removal of residual contaminants. An IoT based monitoring and control system regulates process parameters using real time sensor data to ensure consistent treatment performance.
