MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611083685 A) filed by Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University on July 08, 2026, for Entropy-Governed Iris Authentication System.
Inventors include Pushpendra Pandey; and Namita Tiwari.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed is an entropy-governed iris authentication system comprising a sensor unit for acquiring an iris image, a feature generation unit for generating iris template and reliability information, a liveness evaluation unit for generating a liveness score, an entropy estimation unit for determining effective entropy from iris template, reliability and liveness information, a biometric-driven cryptographic configuration unit for selecting cryptographic key length and error-correction parameters according to determined entropy, a cancelable transformation unit for generating a transformed biometric template using a token-derived output and a post- quantum key encapsulation unit for protecting authentication data according to configured cryptographic processing. The system binds biometric randomness, liveness-conditioned reliability, revocable template generation and post-quantum key handling within a common authentication architecture.
