A method comprises determining that a packet from a packet data convergence protocol, PDCP, entity of the first apparatus is to be duplicated on a plurality of radio link control, RLC, entities of the first apparatus; assigning, by the PDCP entity based on the determination, duplicated PDCP packets across a plurality of radio link control, RLC, entities of the first apparatus with a common RLC sequence number, SN; and transmitting the duplicated PDCP packets with the common RLC SN to a second apparatus.
