Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to enhancement of a packet data convergence protocol, PDCP, duplication framework. A method comprises determining a mapping between radio link control, RLC, sequence numbers, SNs and packet data convergence protocol, PDCP, SNs; in accordance with a determination that a packet from a PDCP entity of the first apparatus is to be duplicated on a plurality of RLC entities of the first apparatus, determining by a plurality of RLC entities, a same RLC SN of duplicated PDCP packets across the plurality of RLC entities based on the mapping and a PDCP SN of the duplicated PDCP packets; and transmitting the duplicated PDCP packets with the same RLC SN to a second apparatus.
