Abstract: Enhanced Ultrasonic Mobility Device with Dual Sensors and Multimodal Feedback for Visually Impaired This invention describes an advanced ultrasonic mobility assistance device designed for visually impaired individuals. The device features a dual ultrasonic sensor array that detects obstacles within a 3-meter range and a 180° field of view, providing real-time spatial awareness. It integrates a microcontroller with a machine learning model to classify detected obstacles, enhancing the accuracy of contextual feedback. Feedback is delivered through multi-zone vibration motors and a bone-conduction speaker, offering intuitive navigation cues without isolating the user from ambient sounds. The system is customizable through a user interface, allowing adjustments to detection sensitivity and feedback intensity. It includes a solar-assisted charging mechanism to extend battery life and optional GPS navigation for route guidance. This device significantly improves the independence and safety of visually impaired users by enabling more confident and efficient navigation in diverse environments.
