MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621075521 A) filed by Hle Glascoat Limited on June 18, 2026, for Enhanced Heat Transfer And Mixing System For Glass-Lined Plug Flow Reactors.

Inventors include Ishant Jain; and Nitin Noutiyal.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT ENHANCED HEAT TRANSFER AND MIXING SYSTEM FOR GLASS-LINED PLUG FLOW REACTORS An enhanced heat transfer and mixing system for glass-lined plug flow reactor comprises a reactor vessel (10) having a wall (16) with a glass lining, a jacket (14) for heat transfer fluid circulation, and an agitator shaft (18) extending along longitudinal axis. A plurality of radial baffles (30) positioned perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, each comprising a solid conical outer zone (32) with apex directed downstream and a perforated inner zone (34) extending to a shaft clearance (36). A variable-speed drive (40) coupled to the agitator shaft (18) and controlled by a PLC controller (46) that computes rotational speed set-point based on temperature differential measured by sensors (42, 44). Radial impeller assemblies (60) positioned in inter-baffle mixing cells (64), and at least one rotating axial baffle (70) rotatably mounted through a bearing assembly (72) on the agitator shaft (18) to provide mixing or flow guidance based on relative angular velocity.
