Abstract: Various examples of embodiments described herein relate to methods and apparatuses, and computer programs for a baseline mobility procedure, and more specifically (but not exclusively) to an enhanced (e.g., simplified) baseline mobility procedure (e.g., for 6G). One such example of an embodiment relates to a method that includes obtaining, at an endpoint terminal, a radio resource control, RRC, configuration; providing a measurement report to a first access network entity or function, the measurement report comprising measurement results indicating a service quality of a serving cell and a service quality of at least one neighbour cell of the serving cell, wherein the serving cell is a serving cell of the endpoint terminal and is associated with the first access network entity or function; receiving a reconfiguration applied for a target cell, wherein the target cell is one cell of the at least one neighbour cell; and initiating a handover to the target cell based on the received reconfiguration, wherein the RRC configuration is a common RRC configuration applicable to radio cells and/or transmission and reception points, TRPs, associated with at least one of the first access network entity or function or a second access network entity or function associated with the target cell.
