Abstract: The present invention discloses an energy-regenerative elevator system with intelligent energy storage and management for improving energy efficiency and reducing power consumption in elevator installations. The system comprises an elevator car, counterweight assembly, regenerative traction motor, regenerative drive unit, power conversion module, energy storage unit, sensor network, and an intelligent energy management controller. During elevator operation, particularly during braking, deceleration, and load-balancing conditions, excess mechanical energy generated by the elevator is converted into electrical energy through the regenerative drive unit. The recovered electrical energy is processed by the power conversion module and stored in an energy storage unit comprising batteries, supercapacitors, or a combination thereof. A plurality of sensors continuously monitor elevator load, speed, travel direction, energy generation, storage status, and building power demand. Based on the monitored parameters, the energy management controller intelligently manages the storage and distribution of recovered energy. The stored energy may be reused to power elevator operations, emergency systems, lighting systems, and other auxiliary building loads, thereby reducing dependence on the electrical grid. In certain embodiments, excess stored energy may be supplied to the building power network. The invention provides a sustainable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly elevator solution that enhances energy recovery, lowers operating costs, improves operational efficiency, and supports green building initiatives in residential, commercial, and industrial environment.
