Abstract: The invention relates to a drying system (1) for drying a drying medium, having: - an air-air heat exchanger (LLW) (20) which has: - a feed-in LLW exhaust-air flow assembly (100), - a discharge LLW exhaust-air flow assembly (200), - a feed-in LLW fresh-air flow assembly (2000), - a discharge LLW fresh-air flow assembly (3000); - a drying system (30) for drying the drying medium, wherein the fresh air which is heated at least by the air-air heat exchanger (20) and is discharged at least indirectly from the LLW fresh-air flow assembly (3000) interacts, as drying air, with the drying medium, absorbs evaporated moisture from the drying medium, and is dispensed to an exhaust-air line assembly (5000) as moisture-loaded exhaust air (K): - a pre-heating heat exchanger (10) for heating fresh air from an outside temperature (T_A) to the controlled fresh-air inflow temperature (T_G); and - a supply-air line assembly (1000) for feeding the fresh air which at the outside temperature (T_A). The feed-in LLW fresh-air flow assembly (2000) connects the pre-heating heat exchanger (10) to the air-air heat exchanger (20) in order to provide the fresh air at the controlled fresh-air inflow temperature (T_G) to the air-air heat exchanger (20).
