MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631099767 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology Patna on August 18, 2026, for Energy-Matrix Based Radiality And Connectivity Detection System.
Inventors include Singh, Saket Kumar; Kumar, Kanhaiya; and Satsangi, Saran.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: A system (100) for detecting radiality and connectivity of an energy distribution network during power distribution network reconfiguration (PDNR) actuates with a network initialization and data input module (102), receiving and organizing network data. A topology modification and switch control module (104), connected to the network initialization and data input module (102) and network switches, generates candidate network configurations by controlling switch states. A dynamic time- series power flow simulator (106), connected to the topology modification and switch control module (104) and the network initialization and data input module (102), determines active and reactive power flowing through network branches over multiple time steps. An apparent energy aggregation unit (108) generates an element-wise aggregated energy matrix from the power-flow data. A radiality and connectivity validator (110) evaluates the candidate configuration using energized branches and load buses. Finally, an operational objective evaluation unit (112) evaluates accepted configuration and guides subsequent PDNR configuration selection.
