Abstract: ABSTRACT [0015] The present invention relates to an energy harvesting smart antenna array integrated with machine learning-based beamforming designed specifically for sustainable Internet of Things networks. This system captures ambient radio frequency energy through a multi-element antenna array that dynamically adjusts its radiation pattern using adaptive machine learning algorithms to maximize energy collection efficiency while simultaneously supporting reliable data communication. The array incorporates specialized rectifying elements that convert harvested radio frequency signals into usable direct current power, which is then managed by an intelligent power conditioning unit to supply energy-constrained IoT nodes. Machine learning models continuously analyze channel conditions, device locations, and energy demand patterns to optimize beam direction and gain in real time, ensuring consistent power delivery even in dynamic and multipath environments. By combining spatial energy focusing with predictive adaptation, the invention significantly extends the operational lifetime of IoT devices, reduces dependence on conventional batteries, and enables large-scale deployment of self-sustaining wireless sensor networks in urban, industrial, and remote settings. The overall architecture achieves improved conversion efficiency and network longevity compared with static antenna systems, supporting environmentally responsible IoT infrastructures.
