Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention discloses an energy harvesting footpath system (100) configured to convert pedestrian-induced mechanical energy into electrical energy. The system (100) comprises an energy harvesting footpath module (102) including one or more modular piezoelectric tile modules (104), each having an embedded piezoelectric sensor array (106) configured to generate an alternating current (AC) electrical output in response to mechanical deformation caused by pedestrian movement. An energy conditioning module (108) comprising a rectifier (110), a filtering circuit (112), and a voltage regulation circuit (114) converts the generated AC electrical output into a regulated direct current (DC) electrical output. The regulated electrical energy is stored in an energy storage unit (116) and monitored by a monitoring unit (118) configured to monitor operational parameters associated with energy generation, conditioning, and storage. The integrated structural-electrical arrangement enables efficient, scalable, and decentralized energy harvesting for pedestrian infrastructure applications.
