Abstract: An energy-efficient distributed hybrid precoding system (100) for cell-free multi-user MIMO integrated sensing and communication networks is disclosed. The system comprises a central coordination unit (110) and distributed radio units (120) interconnected through a fronthaul network (140). Each radio unit includes a local analog precoding module (122) on a field-programmable gate array, an RF chain activation controller (124) implementing three-state power management through power gating switches, an adaptive power amplifier module (126) with envelope tracking and digital pre-distortion on application-specific integrated circuits, and an energy management subsystem (130) with energy harvesting, LSTM-based sleep mode scheduling, and power monitoring on a microcontroller. A hierarchical precoding framework (170) performs Riemannian manifold-based local analog precoding and rate-splitting with Tomlinson-Harashima global digital precoding, coordinated through power-aware alternating optimization with guaranteed convergence. The system reduces network energy consumption by at least thirty percent while maintaining communication throughput and sensing accuracy.
