Abstract: ENERGY CONSUMPTION CONTROLLING SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF ABSTRACT An energy consumption controlling system (100) is disclosed. The system (100) comprising a current sensing unit (104) and a voltage sensing unit (106) to sense current and voltage supplied to an electrical load (102), a communication unit (108) to receive a control command from a remote application (110), a memory unit (112) to store energy tariff information, a processing unit (114) to determine energy consumption and energy cost, a display unit (116) to display energy-related information, and a relay (120) to control the electrical load (102). The system (100) determines energy consumption and cost, displays the information, enables remote control, and disconnects the electrical load (102) when a predefined threshold is exceeded.
